They are wearing traditional appliqued Seminole clothing and the man has a sack over his right shoulder. His left hand is resting on a walking stick. The man is in front with the child between him and the woman. The woman's hands are resting on the child's shoulders. A large orange setting sun is behind them.

Purchased by Jack and Maxine Zarrow. Printed signature: Fred Beaver, 77. Glued to the dust cover: "Fred Beaver; Fred Beaver, Creek, paints to 'help bridge the gap.' 'My paintings show the non-Indians what the original Indians looked like, how they lived and worked, and so there is more knowledge and understanding.' Beaver, a noted vocalist, is a self-taught artist who paints while listening to music. His paintings have won over 200 top awards, including the grand prize at Philbrook in Tulsa in 1958. He was first winner of the Waite Phillips Indian Artist Award in 1963."
