A painting of a man dressed as a Koshare, or Clown Kachina as he prepares to take part in a ceremony. His body is decorated with the traditional black-and-white stripes and face paint. His hair is tied in two ponytails, one on either side of his head, and he is wearing a handwoven breechclout. He is holding spruce boughs in his right hand. He is slightly crouched and his hands are held out in front of him as he starts to dance.
