A painting of three boys trying to sneak into a circus by going under a circus tent. A policeman has caught them in the act. The boys are crouched and facing toward the right as they lift the edge of the tent. Two of the boys are looking at the policeman. The man has his back to the viewer and is on the right side of the painting. He is standing with his hands on his hips and only the right half of him, from waist to torso, is visible.
