A painting of a young Native American woman riding a white-and-black Appaloosa. The top of her dress is covered with sewn-on shells or elk teeth and she is wearing beaded boots. An orange shawl is hanging over the back of the saddle just behind the cantle and a bag beaded with the image of a horse is hanging off of the saddle horn. The horse is wearing a breast band beaded with geometric designs.

Purchased by Jack and Maxine Zarrow from Doris Littrell at the Oklahoma Indian Art Gallery, Oklahoma City, OK, May 24, 1991. This painting was one of two purchased at the time. The other painting was "Mountain Sheep Dancer" by Pablita Velarde. Excerpt from a letter from Doris Littrell: "From Dr. Bernard's collection - lives in Oregon and are retiring and moving to smaller home. They bought from Tribal Arts (Beverly Baum) in 1976."
