- A painting of a man with a bow about to shoot a buck that is standing in a meadow in the middle of a snowstorm. The hunter, dressed in buckskin, is crouching behind a tree on the left as he nocks an arrow. In the center of the painting, a buck with a four-by-four rack is looking toward the viewer while a doe standing beside him looks for food in the snow. In the sky above and to the right of the hunter, there is a spirit figure that is pointing toward the deer. On the right, four ducks are taking flight.
