Title:
Apache dancer
Description:
A painting of an Apache Mountain Spirit dancer in motion painted against a black background. The dancer's feet are striding toward the right while his upper body is turned to face the viewer. He is wearing a headdress and a mask. A red band with three feathers attached is tied across the lower half of the mask. Four white triangles with circles on the point are painted on his chest and he is wearing a two-layered deerskin kilt held up by a concha belt. On his feet, he is wearing Apache boots with circular tabs on the toes. He is holding a sword-like white stick in each hand and there are long red ribbons swirling downward tied to his forearms. The figure is backlighted by what appears to be a fire.
