He has a rolled-up, flowered, red scarf tied around his head and he is wearing a red velvet shirt. He has a turquoise-and-silver broach pinned on his front just under his collar and he is also wearing a turquoise nugget necklace.

Purchased by Jack and Maxine Zarrow at a wall sale at the Gilcrease Museum's annual American Art in Miniature exhibition, November 6, 1998. This painting was one of two purchased. The other painting was "Morning At Mono Lake - A California Journey" by Carole Klein (see jmz.413).
