- A painting of six dancers and three drummers. The three drummers sit in a circle around a large drum in the center of the painting, with one in the back and one on each side. Each is holding a feather fan in their left hand and a drumstick in their right hand, which is raised to strike the drum. There are three dancers in a row on either side of the drummers. The dancers are wearing roach headdresses, feathered upper-arm bands, lower-back feather bustles, bands of bells on their calves, breechclouts and beaded moccasins. They are in various positions as they dance.

- Purchased by Jack and Maxine Zarrow at the Oklahoma Indian Art Gallery, Oklahoma City, OK, July 21, 1992. On a note found with the painting: "Artist: Carl Sweezy; Title: 'Arapahoe War Dancers'; Medium: oil on canvas; Circa: Early 1930's. The canvas used for this painting is off an old window shade. 'The Arapahoe Way', written by Althea Bass, is a book on the life story of Carl Sweezy. Ms. Bass lived in Norman, Oklahoma, until the age of 93. At this time, she sold her entire estate and moved to Washington D.C. to live with her only son. 'Arapahoe War Dancers' was in her collection. Approximately eight (8) years ago, this piece was purchased by the Oklahoma Indian Art Gallery and sold to Mr. Robb Moore. Mr. Moore held this piece in his collection approximately four (4) years and decided to place it on the market with a number of other pieces. This painting was brought to the Oklahoma Indian Art Gallery for consignment and remained in inventory until purchased by Jack Zarrow in 1992."
