Taped to the dust cover: "Artist: Valjean McCarty Hessing; Title: 'Reunion'; Medium: Gouache; Artist's Tribe: Choctaw; 100% Strathmore rag board." On top of the entry form: "2nd Place Oct. 15, 1981 Five Civilized Tribes Master Show, Muskogee."
