- Purchased by Jack and Maxine Zarrow at the Wagner Gallery, Austin, TX, March 26, 1980. A sticker on the back of the paintings says: "'If I Were A Tree' Feb Mar and Nov '78; This painting utilizes acrylic polymer paints and finishes; to clean, use a soft rag and lukewarm water; In extreme cases, a mild detergent may be used; Do not use any other chemicals."
