- A painting of two white men being approached by several Native Americans on horseback with a tipi village in the background. There are three horses with the white men. Two are for riding while the other is a packhorse. One horse is grazing while its rider stands in front of it. This rider is wearing a fur hat and a capote tied at the waist with a piece of red fabric. He is holding a rifle in his left hand and the grazing horses' reins in his right. The other white man is sitting on a horse that is facing right. The man is looking over his right shoulder at the advancing Native Americans. The packhorse is behind the second horse.
