Description:
A three-quarter length portrait of a very young, black-haired, brown-eyed girl who is facing right. She is perhaps 3 or 4 years old. She is wearing a black sleeveless dress and a handwoven red, black, and green sash. Around her neck she is wearing six strands of heshi and turquoise necklaces that match her turquoise ear pendants. Her right hand is touching the necklaces and her left is touching her belt. Bird pottery designs are behind her in the lower third of the painting.
