There is a double-woven, swam-cane basket with a lid on either side of her. The baskets are red, black and their natural colors.

- Purchased by Jack and Maxine Zarrow at the Five Civilized Tribes Museum's 14th annual exhibition, Muskogee, OK, October 19, 1980, where this painting was exhibited. This painting was one of three purchased. The others were by Nadine Marler and Ruth Cole. On the label on the dust cover: "Artist: Catherine Rutledge; Title: 'Pokoni Tapushink Ikbi (Grandma Making Baskets).'" Also taped to the dust cover: 'Pokoni Tapushink Ikbi; (Grandma Making Baskets)'; Old Choctaw woman shown with a typical hamper type of basket, made of river cane which was split and dyed with natural dyes before weaving. Choctaws made a variety of baskets which were used for everything from storage to winnowing grain.; Catherine Rutledge."
